Dr. Steven Long uses a “whole person approach” when taking care of his patients. He combines the very best hands on techniques with state of the art light force techniques. Dr. Long is able to help you to accelerate your journey toward improved health.
Dr. Steve was born and raised in San Francisco. He comes from a very close family of 5. He has 4 sisters and 13 nieces and nephews. His three children, Sydne, Ian and Kyra and wife Lynnette are the most important things in his life.
He graduated from San Diego State University in 1989 with a degree in Athletic Training. This gave him a strong foundation in patient care and hands on healing. He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic -West where he graduated in 1992 with honors in Clinical Excellence. He is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner which gives him added skill in helping athletes.
Dr. Steven Long, DC has been helping people regain their health since 1992. He opened his office in El Dorado Hills, CA in 2005.
He practiced in the BayArea for 2 years before he and Lynnette moved to Colorado to open their own practice together. After living in Colorado for 7 years, Dr. Steve developed a love for the mountains. He has become a passionate skier, mt. biker, “Crossfitter” and trail runner. He has now run many Ultramarathons, including the American River 50 Mile and the Miwok 100K. One of his lifetime goals is to run in the Western States 100 mile race. “I am so excited about living in El Dorado Hills. The family atmosphere is wonderful and the activities are endless. I really enjoy being a part of this community.”

20+ years of working in a military and law enforcement capacity really does a number on your body. Apparently, the mindset of “suck it up” doesn’t favor so well in the long run! After multiple procedures on my back, continuous migraines, and neck and hip pain, I finally made the decision to seek help outside of the typical recommendations of anti inflammatory drugs and pointless physical therapy. I could not be happier with my results, and I wish I started a loooonng time ago. My back is a night and day difference these days, and my headaches are few and far between, and this all happened in less than a year. Dr. Long is the man, and his entire office is top notch. Dr. Steve and his staff are amazing. My two young children and family are all patients of Dr. Steve. He even has a children’s chiropractor table (shaped like Nemo) and toys for children; I never thought my kids would enjoy going to the chiropractor, but they love visiting Dr. Steve! The care their team provides is extraordinary. Dr. Steve is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their staff are very accommodating to their patients needs. I have been a patient of several chiropractors over the years, and none is better than Dr. Steve.
Back in 2005 i was in a car accident. I began seeing Dr. Steve right away and after a couple months of treatments, I was healed! No pain! Since then, anytime life happens (or in the latest case of going on most of the rides at Disneyland), I see him straight away and continue to live pain-free! He has a very caring and professional demeanor and the staff are fantastic-friendly, efficient, and accommodating!

Dr. Steve and his whole staff are just phenomenal! My daughter and I were in a hit and run accident in January and were both in so much pain. Dr. Steve got us all fixed up with regular chiropractor care, at home exercises and him and his staff members all made sure that our paperwork was always thorough and complete for our attorney.<br><br>Communication here is fantastic and we always truly felt like we mattered, cared for, and were always welcome when we were visiting. Now that our accident and lawsuit are in the settlement stages, I've decided to still see Dr. Steve once a month on their monthly plan. I believe In good chiropractor care and I've definitely found the one!
